Well...

That was stunning...

I really am speechless.

The documentation is perfect (finally someone who knows how to justify text)

The mechanics you went with are implemented so well, and the story you backed them up with is compelling and considered.

I unfortunately encountered the same bug where the ending sequence did not play.

If you can get that fixed, I will be shocked if you don't win this.

Adorei o teu jogo! :)

Muito Obrigado ;)

First of all thanks for playing the game and leaving some feedback, it means a lot.

I really wish I got to spend more time on the documentation so I could dig into some of the systems in more detail. I learned a lot during this project.

I solved the issues with this build rather quickly it's a shame I can't edit this page until SFAS is over. Whenever I get the opportunity I'll be sure to upload the fix though.

Thanks again for the comment. Cheers!

Oh man - surely if you get in contact with Dan they might be able to work out putting another build up if it just fixes that bug

Whelp, I seem to have found a way around it. With a little leeway and incline it is possible to fly directly to the ledge and skip the bugged platforms. Now, as mentioned in my previous comment, the game has some bugs ;))))))), nah seriously, it needs a little tweaking here and there. I had to restart the game four times in total. Once when I exited the map, a second time when the platforms bugged, a third time as it is very hard to climb the "ladder" and you may not realize that is the next objective. The lever is out of sight and the button really makes it seems like it is for opening the door that later gives you access to them camera module. I assumed it was bugged, and restarted, only to randomly realize that the "ladder" actually is climbable and that there is a lever above the door. Then I had to restart a fourth time, as I assumed the ending was bugged too. I now assume that the ending is the AI realizing the you are just a bug, and that he is all alone. I have waited for quite a while and ran all over the map (back to the beginning and back to the AI), but nothing changed. If this is indeed the ending, it would be quite nice with a stronger indication of such, so that you do not go explore for a nonexistent ending for a while.

These issues aside, the game was great. Great art-style and short, yet very impressive, sad and funny little story! Though nothing much or special was going on with the audio, it was quite nice and very much fitting! The atmosphere was great and if not for the struggles and restarting, it is a very immersive game! As far as I can see (I have only checked out the other games by their descriptions and images), this is the best game of the Games Programming Challenge 2021. Great work!

Thank you so much for your video and feedback! It's really special getting to watch someone else interacting with something you made... and I'm glad you could tolerate some of the bugs you encountered.

A lot of these issues are really simple to solve and are the product of very little playtesting. I expect to have a polished version out soon but for the sake of the competition, I really had to publish it in this state.

You did reach the ending, more or less. (the final sequence didn't trigger for some reason) but it seems you got the point of the story anyway.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment here. I really appreciate it! 🐞

Hi, I played the game and thought it was really cool! I assume it is not finished as the final platform seems to be blocked off by a barrier. And if you even remotely exit the path the game just gives up haha. I would have made a vidio, and I still have it if you want to see the bugs I am talking about, but I am not going to make it public unfortunately. There is not yet enough available gameplay to publish it. If you fix these bugs, I will make a vidio for sure! Anyway, keep up the good work!
